In 2009 I identified serious flaws in the tribunal system whilst dealing with John Berry, a well-known litigator who brought over 100 age discrimination claims through an ingenious plan. I thought there was something quite odd about his approach so inspected the register of tribunal decisions at Bury St Edmonds to find that he had lodged well over 100 age discrimination claims. I dealt with over 30 of Mr Berry’s claims and they were all struck out without a hearing.

The issue was discussed in the Houses of Parliament (some MPs objected to my actions in exposing this scandal).
