Settlement Agreements - advice during the Coronavirus Lockdown

Settlement Agreements are simply a contract designed to bring employment to an end without any problems. Once signed you cannot take any claims to an Employment Tribunal.

In the current economic climate, 1 in 4 employers are considering redundancies, so you are not alone. From advising employees for over 25 years we are well aware of what you are going through but also that economy will eventually bounce back…Generally, the best advice in times like these is to common sense:

Think about what will happen next and make sure you are best positioned for the future…

If you have been offered a settlement agreement, we are available to offer you our ‘same day service.’ All we need is a copy of the agreement and your contact number.

Your employer will pay a contribution (anywhere between £250 and £500 plus VAT) for our advice and so we fix our fee to that amount and the bill will be sent direct to your employer. We never charge employees for advice on Settlement Agreements.

Here is a link with a short note on things to think about in light of the Lockdown and ongoing effects on the economy.

Redundancy entitlements are fairly straightforward. All employees are entitled to a fixed redundancy payment (currently £538 for each year worked under the age of 41 and £807 for each year worked over age 41.

As part of the fixed fee we will look at claims you might have and also the kind of compensation you might be able to win. If you want to sort out your agreement quickly, just email the agreement to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with your phone number.
